Hey there! Hank and Millie here.

So nice to have you stop by for a look around. We love having visitors as much as we love visiting. We welcome all – from pebbles to boulders – to explore our site, but more importantly, to explore our world.

As avid explorers, we have a rock solid belief that new experiences are always waiting just around the bend. Maybe you’re an explorer too or maybe you’re curious and hope to live vicariously through us. Either way, we document our different destinations and experiences for your enjoyment – and also to help us preserve our special memories.

We love all things travel, adventure and friends: camping, cruising, sightseeing, road trips, maps (especially paper maps), backyard get togethers with friends, cooking and the lure of the great unknown. So join us as we enjoy each new venture!

We hope to inspire you to see new places, embrace new experiences, make new friends, reconnect with old friends, and enjoy the many wondrous sights, smells, and sounds this world has to offer.

With each of our blogs, we’ll share pictures from our travels, information on each destination, and our own little helpful insights in case you plan to visit there also. Whether it’s a mountain top, cruise, hidden cave, or product review, we’ll take you along our path and give you the inside scoop on any scenic, cultural events, gadgets, or rocky terrain (the rocky ones are our favorites).

Meet Hank

Hank is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who loves music, wine, cheese, and classic cars. He appreciates the outdoors and camping is a lifelong love of his. Hank also enjoys sailing because it reminds him of his days in the navy. He would like to someday sail across the ocean single-handedly, but is aware that the waves can get really rough out there!

Travel is another love of Hank’s and meeting new people while traveling is an added bonus. He plans to someday climb Half-Dome in Yosemite (where he and Millie were married), and he believes our purpose in life is to find your purpose.

You are most likely to encounter Hank when he volunteers to take your selfies for you. On travels he is often heard saying, ” Can I take your picture for you?”

Meet Millie

Millie is a professor and teaches geography and geology (the irony of this is not lost on these geodes). She loves to travel, bake and learn new things, as well as, make learning interesting so as to inspire others to see the world differently.

Millie is a believer that everybody is great at something and her greatest desire is to inspire others to more fully connect to their family, friends, community and nature. She is a lifelong student of traditions and is interested in customs and rites of passage, as well as, passing family traditions on to others. She has a goal to travel to each continent on the globe and visit every state in the United States.

Millie is fascinated in bucket lists and loves hearing about what is on people’s bucket lists. If you meet her don’t be surprised if she asks, “What’s on your bucket list?”
